Building a Man was an interactive web performance exploring the reach for unattainable standards of masculinity, from a trans lens, and through the characters of James Bond and Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy.

An audience of individuals lead themselves through a website live for only an hour, uncovering embedded video; live chatrooms; journeys to external webpages; playlists; and video livestreams.

Developed in residence with the Scottish Youth Theatre for the 2021 Making Space online festival, with mentorship from Jay Woods (Sound Theatre Company, Seattle).
